Commons Hacks Round 2

I will begin by saying that a lot of these hacks are ridiculously simple. BUT I think they also show how you can get ~*~*creative*~*~ at Commons without spending too much time trying to get your concoction together.

So here it is.

Nachos

Sometimes you feel like eating something greasy and absolutely stomach-turning and you, unfortunately, do not have time for/access to Taco Bell. Resolve this horrible affliction by making your own NACHOS.

Get some sour cream and salsa from the gluten-free station. Get olives and cheese from the salad bar. Grab some Doritos and a plate. You know where this is going. Nuke it all together. Nachos! Like the kind you would buy at your neighborhood roller rink as a wee child. Revel!

Zesty-Hot!

Tortilla Pizza

So you want pizza at dinner. But pizza is served exclusively at lunchtime. In the words of Lenin, “What Is to Be Done?”

Order a quesadilla with toppings from the grill. Get a bowl and put in some marina sauce from the pasta station. Get another bowl and go crazy with pizza toppings at the salad bar. Yum, tofu pizza. After you buy all this delicious food, peel the quesadilla apart, a la the burrito we (I?) made last month. Stack the tortillas for double-crusted pizza. Add the toppings and microwave it a little. WHAM, dinner pizza.

Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich

Like I said, these are all pretty simple but insanely delicious. Get a brownie and cut it lengthwise down the middle. Fill it with your favorite Ben & Jerry’s. Mmmm.

That’s it! Next time: Poutine (Commons edition)!
