The Church divested itself of \u00a312 million in assets from tar sands and coal projects in 2015, but the next stage will be much larger, about \u00a3125 million in shares in large oil and gas companies. The Church&#8217;s efforts also include teaming up with the London School of Economics to create the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/GranthamInstitute\/tpi\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transition Pathway Initiative<\/a>, an assessment tool that examines a company&#8217;s preparedness for a low carbon economy.
