Take-home lessons from paper 2 (Rowley 2008)

I’ve read the take-home lessons that you folks wrote out for me at the start of the Monday class. As I expected, they were very personal – each of you had your own private list of things worthy of being remembered. One interesting commonality: all of you identified as a take-home lesson the fact that certain experimental properties (usually NMR properties) of transition metal complexes could also be calculated.

Additional things that I learned from reading your responses:
– you had read the article carefully
– you had an intellectual framework for understanding what was in the article
– you had an intellectual framework for assigning value to what you had read
– you could express the things that resonated with you in technical language

Bottom-line on this reading exercise: Success!
