That&#8217;s where <b>Becky Phillips &#8217;10<\/b> comes in. Working on her Reed thesis, &#8220;An investigation into the Manganese transporters MntH and MntA,&#8221; with <a href=\"http:\/\/people.reed.edu\/%7Eglasfeld\/\"><b>Prof. Glasfeld<\/b><\/a> provided her with a solid introduction to experimental biochemistry and x-ray crystallography. Now she&#8217;s bringing those same skills to the Project CRYSTAL laboratory.
