The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dreyfus.org\/awards\/henry_dryfus_teacher_award.shtml\"><b>Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards<\/b><\/a> program, in particular, is designed to support &#8220;the research<br \/>\nand teaching careers of talented young faculty in the chemical sciences&#8221; by making an unrestricted research grant of $60,000 to faculty who have demonstrated<br \/>\n&#8220;accomplishment in scholarly<br \/>\nresearch with undergraduates, as well as a compelling commitment to<br \/>\nteaching.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Almost needless to say, knowing all of this just adds to the immense pleasure of reporting that <a href=\"http:\/\/home.sandiego.edu\/%7Ejkua\/\"><b>Jeremy Kua<\/b><\/a>, an associate professor of chemistry at University of San Diego, is one of just <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dreyfus.org\/announcements\/CURR.TH.PDF\">6 award recipients<\/a> for 2011.
