A few days ago she learned that she had received the program&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/biochem.wisc.edu\/news\/2016\/news-denton-award-2016-05-20\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>2016 Denton Award for Graduate Student Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring<\/strong><\/a>. The award is given each year to a student who has &#8220;consistently demonstrated commitment to quality, innovative classroom teaching and mentoring in a laboratory setting,&#8221; and is made possible through the generosity of Arnold E. and Catherine M.
