Introduction: Jesse is a second year English major with a concentration in creative writing. She is originally from the bay area, but recently moved with her family to San Diego, California. Jesse was raised in a conservative/reform Jewish-Israeli-Yemenite family. She is passionate about poetry, singing, learning, and her identity.

Learning goals:

1. To learn more in depth about the history of Jews in South America
2. To better hone her writing skills
3. To develop and learn efficient ways of doing research
