Hi! My name is Alex. I’m a senior Comparative Literature major, and I’m looking forward to learning with you all! I’m auditing this class, so while I’m keeping up with reading and discussions, I won’t have written assignments to post. I look forward to reading others’ research, though!

My three learning goals:

1. Understand patterns of Jewish migration to the Americas.
2. Develop a better understanding of the connections that formed between Jewish communities in the Americas across differences of class, race, culture, language, and region.
3. Study the ways in which Jews in the Americas are/have been racialized, both into and against whiteness.
