Introduction:
Sonia is a senior American Studies student concentrating in English and is from the Bay Area. She is writing her thesis on American female stand-up comedians and their discussion of gender, sexuality, race, and politics on the stage. Sonia loves cats (she has a kitten named Pabu), bad reality television, and cooking with her roommates. She will be researching New York City, NY this semester.
Learning Goals:
- To learn about how Jewish tradition and history is marked differently throughout various regions (e.g. art, gravestones).
- To learn more about Jews in Latin America. I have many Jewish relatives in Chile, but haven’t had the opportunity to learn about their historical background.
- To become a pro at using blogs.reed.edu.
