Introducing Me: Caitlin is a sophomore English major originally from Southern California. Her favorite pastimes are reading, playing the guitar, writing short fiction, and learning new things. As someone who has Jewish family but is not particularly familiar with the complexities of Judaism and Jewish-American culture / literature, Caitlin is looking forward to using this course as an opportunity for further self-discovery and exploration. She is excited to start researching Jews in Paramaribo, Suriname!
Semester Learning Goals:
- Become familiar with the diverse Jewish groups across the Americas and what makes them unique from one another
- Use technology as a means to present accurate, thorough, and compelling information on my Jewish-American city
- Generally refine and further develop my understanding of a culture that is a part of my heritage
- Feel comfortable discussing Jewish-American studies!
