Rafael is a junior English major and super excited to learn about Jewish life throughout the Americas. He has a history of Jewish education and will be researching Chicago, IL, this semester. Alongside reading and writing, Rafi enjoys traveling, nature, photography, and reading Rambam.
His learning goals for the semester are to:
1) Complement my unspecific knowledge of Jewish culture with primary sources;
2) Develop my understanding of what it means to be Jewish and discuss Jewishness with the class;
3) Learn about Jews not just in the United States, but “Across the Americas.”
