From 1994-95 I taught at Wellesley College. I am the author of &quot;Aristocracy and Athletics in Archaic and Classical Greece&quot; (Cambridge, 2005) and various articles on Pindar, Greek lyric and athletics, and I was named Oregon Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the American Council for Education in 2005. He is co-author of Latin Laughs: A Production of Plautus&#39; Poenulus (Bolchazy-Carducci, 1997), as well as various articles on Roman history and literature.
