Although Reed classes are once again meeting in person, we will continue to have a remote option for those alumni who do not live in Portland. Meeting via Zoom, we will maintain our regular Scriptorium schedule; Thursday evenings from 6:00–8:00 P.M. and Friday afternoons from 2:00–4:00 P.M.
Thursday’s class has typically taken an historical and paleographic approach, practicing different scripts based on historical manuscripts, and this year will be no different.

Friday’s class will continue to focus exclusively on the practice of the Italic script, both formally (calligraphy) and informally (handwriting).
