Birthdays in the Classics Department

Two of the professors have back-to-back birthdays. One of our students made us cupcakes. Mine is pictured below with Prof. Wasserstrom’s dog in the background.

CFP: Undergraduate Classics Conference at Willamette

All undergraduates in Classics courses are strongly encouraged to submit a paper to the Northwest Undergraduate Conference on the Ancient World, held at Willamette University in Salem on Saturday, April 25, 2015. This is a great opportunity to share your original research outside the bubble and to meet other Classics students and faculty from the area.

Don’t hesitate to ask any of the Classics faculty if you need encouragement to submit a proposal. Reed pride is at stake!

Prepositions with animals

Some of you will already be familiar with “An Adventure with a Lion” for Greek prepositions. I recently discovered that there is a taurine version for Latin.

Here’s a PDF of the whole thing, Greek and Latin: adventure.prepositions
