Coordinator of Research Programs
The Department of Psychology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to hire a Coordinator of Research Programs to conduct and facilitate research in the Communication and Language Lab. This is a full-time, 12 month, academic professional position.
The coordinator will be involved in every aspect of our research, including recruiting
participants. Participants are recruited for experiments on the use of prosody in conversation, conducting experiments (running experiments investigating prosody. These include interactive referential tasks, eye-tracking studies, memory studies, and studies on individual differences in cognitive abilities.), coding and analyzing data, supervising undergraduate assistants, and purchasing and maintaining lab equipment. The coordinator will also organize lab resources: Keeping inventory of supplies, computer equipment, research assistant hours, manage lab meetings and the laboratory experimental schedule, manage IRB compliance forms, manage consent form paperwork, help to design studies and prepare stimuli, and assist in grant and manuscript preparation.
A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is required. Experience overseeing personnel, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are preferred. Also, experience working in a Psychology research lab and skills in computer programming are strongly preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
