After great difficulty finding and parking in a space, we hiked into the park and found a nice patch of ground to sit back and enjoy a picnic. We ate sandwiches, some of which contained the strangest combinations &#8211; provolone and nutella being the strangest.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"x-unicode\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2013\/05\/650.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1152\" alt=\"chittick picnic\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2013\/05\/650.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2013\/05\/650.jpg 640w, https:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2013\/05\/650-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"x-unicode\">\n<p lang=\"x-unicode\">Some people brought binoculars to watch for birds, some hiked the trails, and others laid back and relaxed.
