Portland Art Museum<\/p><\/div>\n

If you’re looking for an excuse to spend the afternoon downtown, the Portland Art Museum may be just what you’re looking for! Located in the Southwestern quadrant of the city, the Portland Art Museum is a must-see destination for anyone with any degree of interest in the arts.<\/p>\n

The museum’s permanent collection includes American art, Asian art, European art, Native American art, Northwest art, modern and contemporary art, photography, graphic arts, and silver. The museum also hosts a number of special exhibits throughout the year, recent exhibits have included ceramics of the Islamic world and iconic bicycle designs. Additionally, the Portland Art Museum prides itself on its interactive, multimedia resources (more information on which can be found here<\/a>) and is affiliated with the Northwest Film Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The price of admission for college students (with an ID!) is $12, but for $3 more college students can purchase a membership to the Portland Art Museum to get free admission year round. The museum also offers free admission on the fourth Friday of every month, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, in addition to other free admissions and special programming offered throughout the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
