It’s that time of year. The end of spring semester, when all of a sudden you realize that there are two weeks left of classes and ten-weeks’ worth of things to do. Since nothing makes sense, there’s only one thing we can do: Stop Making Sense.<\/p>\n

For those who don’t know about this event, here’s what happens: the Talking Heads’ 1983 concert movie,\u00a0Stop Making Sense<\/em>, is screened around the SU the weekend before Renn Fayre. Students dress up in their best I-have-so-much-to-do-but-I-can-have-it-all party outfits. A rocking good time is had. Last year, the Doyle Owl made an appearance, but honestly,\u00a0Stop Making Sense<\/em> is best as a stand-alone event. It’s a bridge from the normal semester flow to the excitement of Renn Fayre. And it brings every Reedie together–from the freshmen who attend every SU dance to the seniors who are rarely coaxed out of their small house gatherings.<\/p>\n
