And you know what that means? It means it&#8217;s almost October. And October is for pumpkins. And I love pumpkins. So this post is going to be the first of a few giving you some ideas for how to use all of that pumpkin you get for Halloween so you don&#8217;t waste any amazingness. Let&#8217;s start with some pumpkin seed recipes! Here&#8217;s how to start:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2012\/09\/toastedpumpkinseeds14.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-405\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2012\/09\/toastedpumpkinseeds14.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2012\/09\/toastedpumpkinseeds14.jpeg 170w, https:\/\/blogs.reed.edu\/reedreslife\/files\/2012\/09\/toastedpumpkinseeds14-112x300.jpeg 112w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 170px) 100vw, 170px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 300<\/p>\n<p>Remove seeds from pumpkins and rinse them<\/p>\n<p>Toss 1 1\/2 cups of seeds with 2 tbsp of butter,\u00a0margarine, or oil<\/p>\n<p>Mix with seasonings (or just salt for traditional seeds)<\/p>\n<p>Spread in one even layer on a baking dish in the oven for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally<\/p>\n<p>Seasoning options!<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0Curry: 1 tbsp curry powder, 1\/4 tsp\u00a0cayenne, 2 tsp lime juice, pinch of salt<\/p>\n<p>2) Cinnamon Spice: 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp white sugar, 1\/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch of salt<\/p>\n<p>3) Orange-Ginger: 2 tbsp white sugar, 1\/2 tsp orange zest, 1 tsp ground ginger<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh goodness y&#8217;all, it&#8217;s late September.
