While running, volunteers often observe characteristics of the dogs that aren\u2019t apparent at the shelter and that can later provide valuable input for the adoption process. Though Copenagle admits that she doesn\u2019t like to run, she runs because it makes such a visible difference for the dogs. \u201cYou can see it in their faces that this is so much fun for them.
