The Carolina silverbell is also known as the “snowbell tree” because of the white, bell-shaped flowers that hang from the branches. It’s native to the southeastern United States, but it is generally disappearing from the wild. Our only silverbell was donated by Reed staff member Kathleen Edeline, who transplanted it from her garden.
