Japanese Zelkova

This tree is a member of the elm family, but it’s much less susceptible to the Dutch Elm Disease than are its cousins. Older trees have an attractive bark: mottled and flaky. They can attain a height of 130 feet, and they display a nice symmetry even when mature.
