A decidious conifer native to the Cascades of Oregon and Washington, the tree is notable for its fragrant needle tufts of bright green in spring, and brilliant yellow to orange fall color. Woody, roundish cones offer winter interest. An important forestry tree in British Columbia, the Western Larch can reach 150 feet and higher.
