Hi there! I’m Sara and I’m a physics major (sounds terrifying, I know) who is deeply interested in history, astrophysics, journalism and anything radioactive. I was raised in a multilingual country, so learning languages has been the backbone of my childhood!
Languages: Russian (first language), Kazakh (native) German (B1), English (like duh...)
Favorite post-Soviet/Russian music: Viktor Tsoi, Moldanazar, Ivan Dorn
Favorite reads: "Christmas" by Vladimir Nabokov and Bulgakov’s “Devil Eggs"
Favorite Spot on Campus: Thesis tower :)
Hi! I’m Leilani (she/her) and I’m a junior studying Comparative Literature with an allied field in Linguistics. I grew up in a multilingual community on the island of Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i, and I hope to share my love for learning languages with others!
Languages: English (native), French (C1), Japanese (A2), Tagalog (A1), Mandarin (just starting!)
Favorite Tagalog song: Pasilyo - SunKissed Lola
Currently reading: Norwegian Wood (ノルウェイの森) - Haruki Murakami (or at least I aspire to read it in Japanese)
Favorite Spot on Campus: The Multicultural Resource Center
Hi! I’m Patricio, a senior biology major from Mexico City. I’m (obviously) interested in biology, especially microbiology, but I also love drawing, climbing, and playing the guitar. I also have a cat named Gustavo and a dog named Ramen.
Languages: Spanish (native), French (fully fluent), English (fully fluent), German (B1)
Favorite Spanish media: Dembow by Danny Ocean is my all time favorite song
Currently reading: Los de Abajo by Mariano Azuela
Favorite Spot on Campus: I love studying at the third floor of the PAB, you get good WiFi, and a terrace and practice rooms for constructive breaks!
