Hi there! I’m Sara and I’m a physics major (sounds terrifying, I know) who is deeply interested in history, astrophysics, journalism and anything radioactive. I was raised in a multilingual country (Kazakhstan), so learning languages has been the backbone of my childhood!
Languages: Russian (first language), Kazakh (native) German (B1), English (like duh...)
Music recommendation: Viktor Tsoi, Dos-Mukasan, Sade, Alanis Morissette, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon and just any house music
Favorite reads: Anything by Chengiz Aitmatov, "Christmas" by Vladimir Nabokov and "Portrait of Dorian Gray"

Hiya. I’m Chloe (she/her) ‘28, a Chemistry major who’s been learning various languages throughout my education (including while abroad in Barcelona). I have also been known to toss a frisbee on the Great Lawn and sing with the Herodotones.
Languages: English (native), Spanish (B2/C1), Catalan (B1), Mandarin Chinese (A1/A2; I took a bit of it at Reed), French/Italian/German (un peu/un po’/a bisserl).
A few musicians I enjoy listening to: Snow Tha Product, Rosalía, Li Jian, Ghali, Måneskin, 01099.

Hi! My name is Annie (they/she/he) and I’m a sophomore Theatre major, German minor. I am continuously reminded of the deeply unfortunate fact that there is not enough time to learn every single language in existence, but if you want to teach me a phrase here or there I’ll try to be satisfied with what I can get!
Languages: English (first language), German (C1), Spanish (if you count two years in middle school…), and I just did a summer program which involved performing in both Greek and Japanese (though I need a lot of work before holding actual conversation)!
