Get Off-Campus: Design Week Portland

What: Design Week Portland

Who: All of y’all! Most of the events are free, but some require registration online to RSVP. The prices to view the films in the evenings range from about $7-$10.

Where: Venues around Portland, including Museum of Contemporary Craft, PSU, Hovercraft Studio, and the Ziba Auditorium.

When: 10/9 – 10/13

Why: During the week there will be a ton of cool events that anyone can attend. People from all over the country (though a heavy focus on PDX, of course) will be discussing everything from urban design and graffiti to furniture and shoes in a series of free exhibits, lectures, and films. Plus, it coincides with the first weekend of Fall Break, so it’s a fun event to take advantage of if you’re staying in the Portland Area.

How: Take your bike, bus, or car to any of the varied locations. The venues are pretty scattered, but they are all listed on the Design Week website.
