Reunions, like my motivation to clean my room, has come and gone. There were many events to go to and many different people to meet, some of which are regulars at Reunions while others were newer faces who decided to pop in and see what all the buzz was about.

One of the events that I went to was Human Chess where people took the place of chess pieces and to capture a piece you had to wrestle the person who was said piece. I told folks that I could body a 5-year-old, no problem–knight vs pawn dynamics could be disregarded! Human Chess is a long-running Reed tradition. Maybe we can rustle up the folks who used to run it…

Friday was when reunions kicked into full swing and this was most evident in the International Language Plaza where Meat Smoke was. This year, they helped put on the “Weekend at the Language House Plaza with the Class of 2016,” with a nonstop selection of music from beloved underground DJs, a deluge of libations and the sweet scent of Meat Smoke in the air.

On Saturday, Meat Smoke moved to the front lawn so people could enjoy smoked meat and watch the light show that was going on on the front lawn. I hope you all had as much fun as I did during reunions.

A little tired,
