YouTube en français

YouTube is a great resource for language-learning—you can learn new vocabulary, ways to use grammar structures, and hear different accents. If you’re just starting out your expedition into French YouTube, I’ve made a list of channels that can help you get started! These are more suitable for intermediate and advanced learners, as these videos only have auto-generated captions, and creators tend to speak quickly and use slang. (Sidenote – I found out the word in French is “youtubeur.euse” and I love it.)

Léna Situations

Léna Situations posts lifestyle vlogs about Paris, fashion, travel, and her friends. I really love her charisma and editing style, especially in her Met Gala video.

Ramos Turbo

This guy only plays driving simulators, which is surprisingly entertaining? I find his whole setup to be very inspiring, like he even has a PRNDL?! I had to pause and rewind this video of him driving a bus around a cliff because I was laughing too much.

MARISA

Marisa is a French Sims player and posts videos from her different Sims series. I love the Sims in general, but it’s actually a pretty good language-learning resource. Here’s a challenge video she made using the Sims restaurant pack, plenty of restaurant-themed vocabulary and situations to be found!

Sananas

If you’re interested in beauty, this is the channel for you! Sananas posts make-up tutorials, unboxing videos, and lists of her favorite products by month.

Shahin

Jubilee-style videos are taking over everyone’s lives, so why not watch them in French? Shahin is a Québécois creator who posts challenge videos very similar to those of Jubilee and Cut.
