A Quiet Place

Self acceptance. Wow.

A zen friend shared this wonderful Ballard Street cartoon from earlier in the week (April 15).

"Self Acceptance" Ballard Street by Jerry van Amerongen, April 15, 2014

Kind of says it all, doesn’t it? When we let our guard down and open up? WOW!

Ballard Street is filled with quirky characters from the wildly creative mind and pen of Jerry van Amerongen.

Next session, Wednesday, February 4, 12:10-12:40 pm

Join Reedies and their guests for our once-a-week silent meditation session. All 3 sessions during December 2025 will be held on Wednesdays.

Our February 4  session will be hybrid with in-person and online options.

In-person option: Eliot Chapel (enter from Admission office stairwell or 2nd floor hallway)

Online option: Zoom

https://zoom.us/j/639700409

Whichever option you choose, sit with Alan (Chapel or online), other Reedies, and campus visitors, anytime between 12:10 and 12:40 pm for silent meditation. You don’t need to show up on time or stay to the end. And, if you only have a few minutes to spare, just take a seat and hide the phone. Bells will be rung every 10 minutes for in-person attendees. You can be on your way when you hear the bell. Advance registration is not required.

Check out Our Schedule to see our full meditation schedule for Oct ’25-Mar ’26. And also check out Our Practice which offers information for participants that is specific to in-person and online participation.
